Saint Louis University's Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures offers Chinese language courses at introductory, intermediate and advanced levels to meet the language requirements of all students.

SLU's Chinese minor  requires 18 credit hours of Chinese coursework, regardless of the level at which students begin. That means that even if students begin coursework at the intermediate level, they must complete an additional 12 credit hours of upper-division courses to fulfill the required hours.
