Resources for Current Students

Each undergraduate student at Saint Louis University’s Doisy College of Health Sciences is assigned a primary adviser who assists him or her through registration and academic skill development. 

Meet Your Advisers

Louise Edwards Neiman

Louise joined SLU’s advising team in October 2015. She has been working with students for more than a decade and has experience as both an instructor and adviser at the college level. Louise enjoys meeting with students one-on-one to learn more about their personal values and academic goals. She also likes connecting them to other resources, services and opportunities on campus.

Brian Tiefenbruck

Brian became a member of the advising team in January 2015. He enjoys speaking with students about their career pursuits and future life goals, as well as helping them to build life skills. Brian earned his M.Ed. in counseling from DePaul University.  

Kelly James
Email: kellyjames@slu.edu

Kelly joined the advising team in May 2016. She enjoys meeting one-on-one with students to discuss their personal and professional goals. Additionally, she enjoys being able to help students become connected on campus to help ensure their success here at SLU.

Step 2: Open the Tools tab.
Step 3: Click the SLU appointments icon.
Step 4: Select the appropriate service.
Step 5: Follow the screens to select your appointment time.

View the Academic Grievance Policy

An academic grievance is an appeal by a student that may occur any time a student believes that published department policies were not followed. Initiate this procedure by filing a detailed, written letter of academic grievance with the dean of the Doisy College of Health Sciences only after academic department channels have been fully exhausted.
